Adjunct Health Information Management Systems (HIMS) Instructor

Qualification: Education

Requires an associate degree or higher in HIM earned from an accredited institution. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Must be either a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification holder, or equivalent education specific to the assigned teaching content.

Qualification: Experience

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HIM and recent experience specific to the assigned teaching content required. Prior teaching experience preferred.

Qualification: Skills

Position requires the ability to instruct health information classes that are part of the Health Information Management Systems program of study.
