Our public-sector client is building AI-powered solutions that use AI agents, assistants, APIs, integrations and orchestration. As an AI Developer, you will take high-level requirements and turn them into secure, scalable technical solutions. You will combine hands-on agentic AI development with strong backend and front-end capability, helping to build, integrate and evolve an AI platform that delivers practical value for users and the organisation.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

•Build and integrate AI agents and AI assistants for enterprise and public-sector use cases.

•Develop agentic workflows, orchestration and integrations to enable reliable AI-powered experiences.

•Develop and integrate APIs and Model Context Protocol (MCP) services.

•Design and implement backend services, including authentication and authorisation for AI-powered applications.

•Implement secure and efficient data storage, retrieval and management solutions.

•Develop front-end components for the AI platform where required.

•Integrate AI solutions with existing systems, APIs, databases and enterprise services.

•Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies, determining how they can be applied to project requirements.

•Collaborate across UX, product, business and development teams within an Agile delivery environment.

•Own technical delivery, proactively identifying risks, solving problems and driving solutions through to completion.

Qualifications:

•5+ years of software development experience, including strong backend development experience.

•Hands-on experience building AI agents or AI-powered solutions.

•Experience with AI assistants, chat platforms, agentic workflows or comparable solutions.

•Strong experience developing and integrating APIs, backend services and third-party integrations.

•Experience implementing authentication and authorisation within applications and APIs.

•Experience working with data storage, databases and data retrieval.

•Experience with MCP or comparable AI service integrations.

•Strong front-end development experience.

•Experience working in an Agile development environment.

•Highly proactive, curious, research-oriented and self-directed, with the ability to take a high-level requirement, determine an appropriate technical approach and independently drive delivery.
