AI Engineer

We're hiring an AI Engineer who'd rather ship a working model into a customer's home than debate benchmarks on Twitter.

Elvy helps Swedish households produce, store and use their own renewable energy. Solar, batteries, heat pumps and electricity retail, all from one partner. We build the software that turns a noisy rooftop of sensors into a clear answer about whether the customer is saving money this month.

What you'll do

• Build ML systems that forecast household production and consumption, then turn those forecasts into decisions (when to charge the battery, when to sell to the grid).

• Ship models end-to-end: feature pipeline, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring. No throwing notebooks over the wall.

• Work directly with the data from our 10k+ installed systems and the electricity spot market.

• Pair with backend and data folks to decide what's worth modelling and what's worth solving with a rule.

Who you are

Pragmatic about ML. You reach for a regression before a transformer. You know when a model is overfit to the demo.

Comfortable in production. You've owned something that ran 24/7 and woken up when it didn't.

Domain-curious. Energy is a weird problem space (physics, regulation, weather, consumer behaviour). You think that's a feature, not a bug.

Swedish or English in the day-to-day. Our engineering language is English. Our customers are Swedish. You only need the first.

Current stack:
Frontend: React app in JS/TS, built on Panda CSS (sadly) and TanStack, deployed on Vercel.
Backend: FastAPI in Python, containerized with Docker and deployed on GCP.
Claude is doing alot of things to.

Practical information

• Location: Elvy HQ, hybrid (2-3 days in office)

• Employment: Full-time, permanent

• Compensation: Market rate for the role and experience, we share the range at first call
