SCR Mining and Tunnelling is currently seeking experienced and safety-focused Alimak Raise Miners/Leaders to join our underground mining operations team at Red Lake, Ontario.

There are multiple existing vacancies for this position.

Job Type

This is a full-time role, on a 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off Rotation

Work Location and Arrangements

This position is for employment in Red Lake, Ontario. Camp accommodation & meals provided.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

As an Alimak Raise Miner or Leader, you will be responsible for the following:

• Establish emergency escapeway travel systems and infrastructure
• Break rock and cycle a full round according to the mining plan
• Operate the Alimak and cycle rounds according to plan and procedures
• Construct and maintain underground installations as face advances
• Follow written and verbal instructions as required to perform your duties in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure proper procedures are followed to ensure safety and to minimize equipment damage
• Follow company health and safety standards and report unsafe acts or conditions to your supervisor

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include:

• Common core completion as well as specialty module U0064 or provincial equivalent
• 2 years of experience driving Alimak raise / 5 years for leadership role
• Positive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
