Assistant Manager, Faculty Appointments

Established in 1981, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) http://www.eee.ntu.edu.sg is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and research. It is one of the largest EEE schools in the world, with more than 120 faculty members and an enrollment of more than 5,000, of which about 2,000 are graduate students.

We invite applications for the position of Assistant Manager, Faculty Appointments. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to School Chair and faculty. This can include providing secretariat support for School Search Committee, School Re-appointment Committee, School Review Committee for Promotion and Tenure, Appraisal Committee, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle sensitive and confidential matters and provide support to ensure necessary flow of information to relevant stakeholders.

• Support School Search Committee (SSC), School Reappointment Committee (SREC) and School Review Committee for Promotion and Tenure (SRCPT) and Appraisal Committee for appointment, reappointment, promotion and appraisal respectively.

• Plan, coordinate and support for faculty matters like contract renewal, re-employment and promotion.

• Identify, plan, implement and enhance operational processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in a Business or its equivalent discipline.

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.

• Demonstrated ability in supporting C Suite executives.

• Proficient with standard MS office software (Power BI, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

• Possess strong written and communication skills.

• Able to write and correspond professionally.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
