Our Audit & Assurance Banking & Insurance practice brings together approximately 35 professionals. As an Assistant or Senior in our Banking & Insurance practice, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to commercial banks, investment banks, insurance companies and other regulated financial institutions across the Nordics.

Your responsibilities will span the audit lifecycle, from planning and risk assessment to execution and reporting. Depending on your experience level, you will either contribute to defined audit areas with support from experienced colleagues or take broader ownership of workstreams, client interactions and the development of junior team members. Your work will focus on financial reporting, regulatory requirements, operational risks and emerging topics such as cybersecurity, data and digital transformation.

The position is based in our Copenhagen office. Your work will include time at client locations.

In this role, you will

• Own audit workstreams appropriate to your experience level, demonstrating initiative and sound judgement in complex situations.
• Contribute to consistently high audit quality by applying professional scepticism, robust methodology and attention to detail.
• Develop deep sector knowledge of banking and insurance, including the regulatory frameworks, business models and risk profiles that shape these industries.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues through professionalism, reliability and a genuine interest in their success.
• Use analytical tools and data-driven approaches to identify relevant risks, patterns and insights.
• Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Use data analytics, automation and AI-enabled tools to support risk assessment, test relevant populations and identify patterns, anomalies and risk indicators that require further audit attention.

Qualifications

You hold a master's degree in accounting, auditing or a related field, or you are actively pursuing such a qualification.

What we're looking for:

• 2–6 years of audit experience, with a demonstrated ability to take ownership of assignments and drive progress.
• A strong analytical mindset: You are curious about how things work, comfortable with data and numbers, and able to identify patterns and anomalies.
• Risk-oriented thinking: You understand that audit is fundamentally about risk assessment and can apply this perspective to complex business scenarios.
• Clear communication: You can explain complex financial and regulatory topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluent Danish: You can communicate confidently in Danish, both verbally and in writing, as you will work with Danish clients and documentation. This is a requirement for the role.
• Strong English skills: You can work effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, as English is our firm language.
• A genuine interest in people: You listen actively, support colleagues and recognise the value of diverse teams.
• A commitment to growth: You are eager to deepen your expertise, learn from experienced professionals and support the development of others.
