Assistant Quality Engineer

About the Role

BYD THAILAND is looking for an Assistant Quality Engineer based in WHA Rayong 36 Industrial Estate, Rayong. This role is responsible for planning, supervising, and optimizing production quality inspection activities, analyzing manufacturing process anomalies, and driving quality improvements across new projects and existing operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Responsible for planning, supervising, and optimizing production quality inspection activities.

• Responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and driving improvements for manufacturing process anomalies.

• Summarize and analyze trial production issues for new projects, promoting corrective action implementation and verifying the effectiveness of measures across responsible departments.

• Review, revise, and continuously improve product Control Plans (CP) and individual quality inspection standards/specifications.

• Responsible for analyzing, improving, and verifying the effectiveness of solutions for major quality issues occurring in final assembly and after-sales service.

• Responsible for conducting Process Capability Index studies (CPK) and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).

• Perform other tasks and special assignments as designated by direct supervisors.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.

• Experience in the automotive industry is highly preferred.

• Ability to communicate in Chinese is an advantage.

• Familiarity with standard quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., 5-Why analysis, 8D report writing, SPC, MSA, etc.).

• High degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in work execution.

• Highly enthusiastic, proactive, and capable of working effectively under high-pressure environments.

• Proficient in standard office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.).

• Clear logical thinking, strong analytical mindset, with excellent communication and interpersonal coordination skills.
