Automation & Process Engineer

We are looking for a Automation & Process Engineer to join our Operations team at DOGA Nantong.

ESSENTIAL TASKS

• Lead automation projects within the factory, ensuring the successful implementation of automation improvement plans.

• Analyze production capacity, investment costs, ROI, and equipment utilization for new automation projects.

• Design layouts and select automated equipment solutions available in the market.

• Manage installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and acceptance of automated equipment.

• Provide operational training and technical support to production teams.

• Design and implement non-standard automation equipment and production lines.

• Develop and optimize tooling fixtures and poka-yoke/error-proofing solutions for assembly and automated lines.

• Identify automation improvement opportunities in existing production lines and lead upgrade initiatives.

• Ensure effective integration between automated equipment and MES systems.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and other departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

PROFILE REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in automation line and equipment design/development.

• Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems and automated production lines.

• Experience with successful automation project implementation.

• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens and Mitsubishi).

• Experience with HMI/SCADA configuration and industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, EtherCAT, and Modbus.

• Basic knowledge of C#, Python, SQL, and OPC UA data acquisition.

• Basic English reading and writing skills; spoken English is a plus.

• Result-oriented mindset, strong integrity, prioritization, and time management skills.
