Azure Cloud Architect (Cloud Migration)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to join our team in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, with a focus on Azure and database administration. This role requires a strategic thinker who can design and implement cloud solutions that meet business needs while ensuring optimal performance and security.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.

• Manage and optimize cloud resources, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture and strategy.

• Oversee database administration tasks, including performance tuning, backup, and recovery.

• Develop and maintain cloud governance policies and best practices.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends to drive innovation.

• Conduct risk assessments and implement security measures to protect cloud environments.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in Azure cloud architecture and services.

• Strong database administration skills, particularly in AWS and Azure environments.

• Expertise in cloud security best practices and compliance.

• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 7-10 years of experience in cloud architecture and database administration.

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of networking concepts and cloud networking solutions.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud environments.
