We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to build and scale high-performance backend systems that power real-time voice workflows and product APIs. This role focuses on delivering low-latency, highly reliable services while operating in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment. You will work extensively with modern backend technologies and leverage AI-assisted development to ship robust solutions quickly and efficiently.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for real-time voice workflows and APIs
• Build systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and optimized for low latency
• Handle concurrency, distributed workloads, and system reliability challenges
• Optimize application performance through profiling, debugging, and database tuning
• Work with WebSockets, queues, and asynchronous processing frameworks
• Ensure high availability and resilience across production systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality product features
• Take full ownership of services, proactively identifying and resolving issues

Requirements

• 2–4 years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in FastAPI preferred
• Solid understanding of HTTP protocols, WebSockets, queues, and distributed systems
• Experience building production-grade systems that handle scale, concurrency, and failures
• Strong debugging, performance profiling, and database query optimization skills
• Familiarity with real-time systems and event-driven architectures
• Ownership mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
