BBQ Chef de Partie – Peking Duck

We’re looking for a skilled and passionate BBQ Chef de Partie specialising in Peking duck to join the kitchen at Shanghai Me, a luxury Asian restaurant delivering bold flavours, exceptional produce, and high-energy dining.

You’ll be part of a dynamic kitchen brigade, specialising in traditional Asian BBQ techniques while working with precision, consistency, and speed in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and cook Chinese BBQ duck and other BBQ dishes to a consistently high standard

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of duck preparation, roasting, glazing, and presentation

• Ensure quality, flavour, texture, and presentation meet Shanghai Me’s premium standards

• Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation throughout service

• Support the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service

• Assist with preparation, stock rotation, and daily kitchen routines

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in a busy Asian or Chinese kitchen (minimum 2 years)

• Essential Chinese BBQ Peking duck experience

• Strong understanding of BBQ preparation and cooking techniques

• Excellent attention to detail, consistency, and presentation

• Positive, can-do attitude and strong team spirit

• Passion for Asian cuisine and a desire to develop your skills

• Eligible to work in the UK
