As a Bell Captain at Conrad Athens The Ilisian, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless and memorable arrival and departure experience for our guests. This position calls for a proactive and service-oriented individual capable of leading the bell team while upholding the highest standards of luxury and hospitality. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel genuinely welcomed and supported throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the bell team to deliver courteous, attentive service that reflects the hotel’s standards of luxury and hospitality.
• Greet guests upon arrival, providing assistance with luggage handling, valet coordination, and special requests.
• Manage arrival and departure procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient guest experience.
• Offer guests accurate information and personalized recommendations on local attractions, dining, and services to enhance their stay.
• Ensure bell carts and related equipment are clean, well-maintained, and readily available.
• Oversee the careful handling, loading, and delivery of guest luggage and packages to rooms or designated areas.
• Serve as a key point of contact for any guest concerns or requests related to luggage, transport, or porter services.
• Train, guide, and support new bell staff, promoting a team culture centered on professionalism and service excellence.
• Coordinate with the Front Desk, Concierge, and Valet teams to ensure smooth guest arrivals and departures.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the bell lobby and equipment.
• Support security measures by verifying guest and vehicle credentials when necessary.
• Monitor and report on lost and found items, ensuring proper documentation and handling.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel setting.
• Strong hospitality skills, with a genuine passion for providing exceptional service to guests.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in both English and Greek; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to engage and build rapport with a diverse clientele and team members.
• Ability to lift and transport luggage and remain standing or walking for extended periods as required by the role.
• Familiarity with local attractions, dining, and services provide guests with accurate recommendations.
• Strong presentation and grooming standards that reflect the luxury brand of Conrad Athens The Ilisian.
