The Role
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and driving the Company's business development strategy, with a focus on revenue growth, client acquisition, relationship management, and market expansion. The roleholder will identify new business opportunities, strengthen relationships with intermediaries and strategic partners, promote the Company's services, and contribute to the achievement of the Company's growth objectives.
The Business Development Manager acts as an ambassador of the Company, proactively promoting its values, reputation, and service offering while identifying opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness and client experience
Duties
- Develop, implement, and regularly review the annual Business Development Plan in alignment with the Company's strategic objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities across target markets, sectors, and jurisdictions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.
- Establish measurable business development objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Build, maintain, and expand relationships with existing and prospective clients, intermediaries, introducers, and professional advisors.
- Generate qualified sales opportunities and manage the pipeline from lead generation through to conversion.
- Attend meetings, networking events, conferences, and industry functions to promote the Company's services and develop professional relationships.
- Ensure timely, professional, and commercially focused responses to client and intermediary enquiries.
- Work closely with colleagues across the Trident Trust Group to identify and maximise cross-selling opportunities.
- Promote Cyprus services across the Group and facilitate collaboration between offices to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
- Act as a key liaison between clients and international Trident Trust offices for multi-jurisdictional structures and transactions.
- Support operational teams in assessing and onboarding new business opportunities.
- Prepare, review, and deliver tailored client proposals, presentations, and business cases.
- Support fee negotiations and commercial discussions with prospective clients and intermediaries.
- Maintain accurate records of business development activities, opportunities, and outcomes within the relevant systems.
- Conduct market research and gather intelligence to support business development initiatives.
- Produce management reports on pipeline activity, business development performance, conversion rates, and new business opportunities.
- Analyse business development data and recommend actions to improve performance and effectiveness.
- Support the preparation and distribution of newsletters, marketing materials, thought leadership content, and client communications.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance the visibility, reputation, and profile of the Company in its target markets.
- Represent the Company professionally and consistently in all external interactions.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Company's services, client base, and strategic priorities.
- Travel as required to support business development objectives, client meetings, and industry events.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably assigned by Management that support the growth and success of the business
