Business Development Officer

Optimal, on behalf of its client Enerwave, member of HELLENiQ ENERGY and a leader in providing outstanding and innovative energy solutions, is seeking a Business Development Officer (1 year contract).

The Business Development Officer will support the company’s development and innovation activities, perform analysis of the Greek and international energy markets trends & developments under the applicable regulatory framework, support the identification of business development and innovation opportunities for Enerwave, consistent with the business development plan, pursue selected initiatives ensuring their implementation and achievement of the economic and financial targets.

Responsibilities

• Support the department in the analysis of business opportunities relevant to the company’s business activities
• Participate in the evaluation of feasibility for potential opportunities for further business development especially in areas related to the energy transition
• Undertake licensing activities related to the company’s infrastructure projects’ development
• Participate in the identification and management of required external resources/stakeholders needed for further projects’ development
• Support the implementation of EU funded projects in which Enerwave participates and undertakes project management and reporting activities
• Closely follow up the applicable regulatory framework
• Participate in the preparation of presentations and relevant analyses and reports for the Top Management as applicable

Requirements

• A BSc in Engineering or Economics
• Energy-related post-graduate degree or MBA is considered an asset
• 3+ years of experience in Project Development in Energy Sector or Strategy consulting in Energy Sector
• Proficiency in the English language
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent presentation and reporting skills
• Good understanding of energy projects’ development and applicable regulatory framework
• Analytical and synthetic capability
