Your opportunity

As a Carer at Anglicare Sydney, you will providehigh qualitycare and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. You willassistwith daily tasks, provide emotional support, and offer companionship to residents. You will ensure the physical comfort and emotional health of our residents are met in a caring and nurturing environment.

With kindness and understanding, you will:

• Provide personal careassistance, including showering, dressing,groomingandfeeding.

• Support residents with mobility and physicalassistance.

• Providecompanionship and emotional support.

• Monitor and document residents’ progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.

• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care while fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the facility.

Whatyou’llbring

You areakind-hearted,patientand respectful person who is passionate about enhancing the lives of older people. You share our organisational values of integrity, justice,compassionand excellence, and bring them to everything you do.

To thrive in this role, you willneed:

• A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

• AnNDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID.

• All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian QualificationsFramework.

You will also have:

• A passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.

• Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

• An understanding of the importance ofmaintainingresidents’ dignity and independence.

• Alignment with Anglicare’s Christian ethos and values.
