Carrier Sales Representative

We are looking for a proactive Carrier Sales Representative. In this role, you’ll be responsible for carrier sourcing, building strong carrier relationships, negotiating rates, and covering loads, with a focus on securing reliable capacity for key lanes. You’ll also handle carrier onboarding, TMS updates, and pickup/delivery appointment scheduling.

Responsibilities:

• Source and develop relationships with reliable carriers for high-volume and frequently used lanes.

• Conduct carrier sales and prospecting to build a strong and consistent carrier network.

• Identify carriers with the capacity and equipment to consistently operate on key lanes.

• Build and maintain long-term carrier relationships, with the goal of establishing dedicated monthly lane coverage.

• Onboard new carriers, ensuring all required information and documentation are completed.

• Negotiate carrier rates while maintaining competitive pricing and a high level of service.

• Source and secure carriers to cover available shipments within required pickup and delivery timeframes.

• Monitor shipment coverage and proactively address any uncovered or at-risk loads.

• Update and maintain accurate shipment and carrier information in the TMS.

• Schedule and reschedule pickup and delivery appointments as needed.

• Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and on-time shipment execution.

Requirements

We're looking for someone who has:

• Strong understanding of refrigerated freight and its specific requirements.

• 3-5 years of experience working with refrigerated carriers.

• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of responsibilities.

• Spanish-speaking skills are a huge plus.

• Cross-border logistics experience is a huge plus.

• Working schedule: Monday-Friday 8 am-5pm EST
