Class 2 Driver - Winter Maintenance

About this role
Here at Marlborough Highways we are looking for Class 2 Drivers who will support our Winter Maintenance, working on Zero Hour Contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete all daily vehicle checks and fill out Vehicle Defect Book at the start of shift and end of shift.
- Report all defects including tyre issues to Transport Manager.
- Completion of gritting records
- Setting calibration rates for gritting on vehicle
- Grease vehicle as necessary
- Fill vehicles with fuel on return to yard at end of the day.
- Present Tachograph card for downloading on a weekly basis.
- Ensure all goods are safely secured.
- Ensure your vehicle is kept in a good, clean condition.
- Load and unload the vehicle adhering to Safe Working Procedures and Risk Assessments.
- Work from other depots within the group and operate other vehicles when required.
- Report all accidents and incidents immediately and obtain details as required.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, HR and Environmental policies and procedures.
The above list is not exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Previous Class 2 Driving experience essential
- Winter Maintenance / Gritter experience desirable (training may be provided for the right candidate)
- HGV Class 2 Licence
