The Piper Assisted Living and Memory Support was designed and developed by Action Pact, a Manhattan, KS-based senior services company. The CNA is a versatile worker that provides vibrant living, wellness and personal care to the residents of the household to meet their daily needs and enable them to function at the highest possible level. While this care is provided under the leadership of a professional nurse, the CNA is the residents’ closest advocate in the household, and is expect to take initiative and ensure that residents are cared for in a holistic manner. The CNA promotes the residents' psychosocial well-being through meaningful relationship building, and works with the household team to meet other social service needs of the resident and of the household, always providing support, friendship and kindness for each of the household members. The CNA also supports the household homemaker in maintaining a clean safe household environment and in caring for the resident’s personal laundry. All CNA tasks are performed in accordance with current standards, guidelines and regulations and in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications

• Certified nurse aide in Kansas

• High School or GED preferred, but not required.

• Demonstrates strong communication and relationship building skills with residents, and is able to explain residents needs to others as needed for resident advocacy.

• Commitment to person-centered and resident-directed care.
