We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated CNC Programmer to join our Processing Department. This role is ideal for someone looking to further develop their career within the steel distribution and processing industry. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the successful applicant will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build positive working relationships with both customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

Following appropriate training, your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting customer enquiries, engineering drawings, and written specifications.
  • Programming jobs accurately and efficiently using DIS2 (Daito Beamline & Coping Robot) software.
  • Liaising with customers and production operators via phone and email while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Supporting the efficient flow of production by ensuring jobs are programmed accurately and on time.
  • Contributing to smooth, safe, and cost-effective production outcomes.

Working arrangements: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (Onsite)

You will have excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Skills & Experience

The following skills and experience are desirable:

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience within the steel processing or structural steel industry.
  • Estimating experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Please note, this is an office-based role.
