Commis 3 (Pastry)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Pastry team with daily preparation and basic production tasks.

• Assist with mise en place, including weighing, measuring, portioning, and preparing ingredients.

• Support the preparation of basic pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other pastry products under supervision.

• Follow recipes and instructions provided by the Chef de Partie and senior pastry team.

• Assist with the finishing, decoration, and presentation of pastry products.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry workstation, equipment, and utensils.

• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of ingredients.

• Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.

• Assist the team during breakfast, buffet, banquet, and special event production when required.

• Handle ingredients and equipment carefully and responsibly.

• Support the team in minimizing food wastage.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous kitchen or pastry experience is preferred; fresh culinary graduates are also encouraged to apply.

• Culinary or Pastry qualification is an advantage.

• Basic understanding of pastry and baking techniques.

• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.

• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to develop.

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

• Good attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Passion for pastry and a genuine interest in building a culinary career.
