We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Pediatric Ophthalmologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive ophthalmic care to infants, children, and adolescents, with a focus on the diagnosis and management of pediatric eye disorders and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage pediatric ophthalmic conditions, including strabismus, amblyopia, refractive errors, congenital eye disorders, and pediatric cataracts.
• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations for infants, children, and adolescents.
• Perform and interpret pediatric ophthalmic assessments and diagnostic investigations.
• Manage complex pediatric eye conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Perform appropriate pediatric ophthalmic procedures and surgeries within the scope of practice.
• Provide surgical and non-surgical management of strabismus and other pediatric eye disorders.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, neurologists, and other specialists when required.
• Counsel parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and facility policies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinical discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching activities where applicable.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology.
• Additional fellowship or advanced training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus is highly desirable.
• Eligible for or holding a valid DHA Consultant license/eligibility in the relevant specialty.
• Demonstrated experience in pediatric ophthalmology, including the management of complex cases.
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous professional development.
