Costa Italian Cook - MGM Springfield

As a Cook at our upscale Italian restaurant, Costa, passion meets tradition. You’ll play a starring role in creating unforgettable dining experiences for our guests by presenting them with WOW moments. This is an opportunity to bring your culinary expertise to a setting that values precision, skill, and creativity.

THE STARTING RATE: $23.05 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques

• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment

• Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service

• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation

• Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation

• Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service

• Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups ​

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 1+ Years of Prior experience as a professional Cook in a high-volume production or fine dining restaurant is preferred

• Strong knowledge of Italian and/or fine dining cuisines and cooking techniques is a bonus

• Willing and able to work Full-Time schedule, consisting Fridays and Saturdays are a MUST including weekends and holidays
