The Department of Mechanical Engineering is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Winter 2027. Please include your cover letter and Curriculum Vitae.

MECH 289 Design Graphics, Section II (Civil Engineering section)

Instructor must cover all material as written in the Course Outline on the McGill Course Catalogue page, as follows:

• The design process, including free-hand sketching; from geometry construction to engineering construction; the technology and standards of engineering graphic communication; designing with CAD software. The role of visualization in the production of engineering designs.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

• Minimum of Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum of three years’ teaching experience or in industry related to Design Graphics software.
• Good knowledge of Design Graphics software, Auto CAD, and hands-free sketching.
• Demonstrated knowledge of spoken and written English.
• Understanding of cross-cultural practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and flexible approach to teaching.

January 5, 2027 - April 30, 2027

Salary:

$11,824 per course
