db Hotels and Resorts - Senior Rooms Technician

db Group, Malta’s leader in the hospitality and leisure sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Room Technician to join the Maintenance Department at db Seabank Resort + Spa.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Senior Room Technician will oversee maintenance activities within guest rooms and accommodation areas, ensuring that all faults are addressed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance within guest rooms and related areas.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, carpentry and general maintenance faults.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and minimise disruption to guests.
• Support and guide Room Technicians in their daily duties.
• Carry out regular room inspections and identify potential maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office and other departments to ensure rooms are maintained and returned to service promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of completed works, pending repairs and materials used.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and company standards.
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Good technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning and general building maintenance.
• Relevant technical qualification or trade certification will be considered an asset.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to lead, support and coordinate a team.
• Good communication skills and working knowledge of English.
• Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
• A professional attitude with strong attention to detail.
