Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm and 7am to 3pm (rotating)
Pay: £12.71 per hour

The Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Despatch Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and checking finished steel pipe couplings, preparing goods for despatch and ensuring products are correctly packed, labelled and ready for delivery.

Key Duties

• Handling and checking finished goods
• Bagging and packing steel pipe couplings
• Packing products onto pallets, boxes and crates
• Taping, wrapping and labelling finished goods
• Using manual pallet trucks
• Operating an FLT where a recognised licence is held
• Using hand-held and automatic shrink-wrapping equipment
• Preparing boxes from flat packs using a foot-pedal stapler
• Supporting Goods-In activities when required
• Assisting with basic production activities when required
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
• Following all company health & safety procedures

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous factory, warehouse, production or despatch experience preferred
• Physically capable of handling loads of up to 20–25kg
• Reliable and punctual with good attendance
• Comfortable with repetitive, hands-on work
• Able to follow instructions and procedures accurately
• Good attention to detail when checking and labelling products
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Health & safety conscious
• FLT licence is advantageous but not essential
