Cushion Seat Assembler

£13.00 per hour to start | Full-time | Monday–Friday | No weekends

We are currently recruiting for Assemblers to join our client’s manufacturing team

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, has good attention to detail and is comfortable working as part of a busy production team.

The Role

As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling foam components and covers to produce finished seat cushions.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Assembling foam components using adhesives and heat
• Fitting covers to foam cushions accurately
• Following drawings, instructions and production specifications
• Checking finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Labelling and identifying completed work correctly
• Working as part of a production team to meet daily targets
• Reporting any quality issues or equipment problems to your supervisor
• Carrying out basic material counts and stock checks
• Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
• Following company health & safety and quality procedures

Previous assembly, manufacturing, production, upholstery or mechanical experience would be an advantage, but relevant transferable experience will also be considered.

You must be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Pay & Progression

Starting rate: £13.00 per hour

The starting rate will depend on your experience and performance during the skills assessment. There is scope for the rate to increase for candidates who demonstrate strong performance and successfully progress through the three-month probationary period.

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

No weekend working.

Recruitment Process

Successful applicants will usually be invited to a 10:30am practical trial/skills assessment before progressing with the recruitment process.
