Diesel Mechanic

Dynamic Transit is seeking a career-minded Diesel Mechanic to work in our Hazelwood shop. This person would be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of class 8 tractor tailers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform general inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on X15 engines, clutches, transmissions, air conditioning and electrical systems, brake systems, and APUs
  
• Review repair work orders and discuss work with supervisors
• Communicate with managers or drivers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems
• Work in a safe and professional manner
• Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have own tools
• Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Technical problem-solving skills
• Experience with engine replacements is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position (lifting excess of 80 lbs, bending, climbing, and standing for duration of a work shift)
• High school diploma or GED required; technical education highly desired.
• ASE Certification preferred but not required
