DryDocks & Projects Coordinator

Technomar Shipping Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our DryDocks & Projects department as a DryDocks & Projects Coordinator. As a DryDocks & Projects Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of DryDocks, conversions, and retrofits across our diversified fleet of containers and bulk carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee vessel dry dock activities and technical projects (retrofits, conversions, new machinery installations), ensuring compliance with industry standards and company procedures.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to schedule, prioritize, and monitor dry dock operations and project timelines.

• Maintain accurate records of dry dock work scopes, progress reports, budgets, and project documentation.

• Assist in the development and implementation of dry dock and technical project guidelines, checklists, and best practices.

• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize costs during dry dock and project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture (mandatory), or equivalent.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional language skills are a plus.

• Prior experience in dry dock planning, technical project coordination, or technical ship operations will be considered an advantage.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and customers.

• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, quality, and compliance with classification and regulatory standards.

• Strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and deliver efficient, cost-effective solutions.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
