Marine Superintendent

Technomar Shipping Inc. is seeking a Marine Superintendent to join our dynamic team in the Marine department for Containers. As a Marine Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our container vessels.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our container fleet, including vessel inspections, maintenance, and repairs. You will work closely with the crew and shore-based teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of vessels to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

• Coordinate and supervise vessel maintenance and repair activities

• Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies
  

• Manage and develop relationships with external stakeholders, including port authorities and classification societies

• Provide technical guidance and support to the crew and shore-based teams

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the maritime industry.

• Strong knowledge of container shipping operations and regulations.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team.

• Proven ability to oversee vessel operations, including maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

• Proficiency in using marine software and systems for data analysis and reporting.

• Ability to develop and implement safety procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and make informed decisions.

• Flexibility to travel and work in different locations as required.

• Valid certification and licenses relevant to the position.
