Engineering Technician – Applied Engineering

Role Overview

We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Applied Engineering team. This role focuses on supporting the development, testing, and implementation of hardware and system-level solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers throughout the product lifecycle, from prototype development to production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and test electronic prototypes and systems

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and product implementation

• Perform electrical and functional testing, validation, and troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and system integration issues

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and technical documentation

• Collaborate with engineering teams on debugging and design improvements

• Create and maintain technical documentation, test procedures, and reports

• Support production, quality, and service teams in resolving technical issues

• Assist in developing and maintaining test setups and equipment

You should have:

Essential

• Technical education (Vocational secondaryschool degreewithElectronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronicsprofile, or related field)

• 5Year+practical experience working with electronic or electromechanical systems

• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical documentation

• Familiarity with test and measurement tools (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope)

• Hands-on skills including soldering (THT/SMT)

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Good communication and teamwork abilities

• English proficiency sufficient to work with technical documentation

Desirable

• Experience in R&D, testing, or product development environments

• Knowledge of embedded systems and communication protocols (e.g., UART, CAN, I2C, SPI, RS485, RS 232)

• Familiarity with CAD/ECAD tools, Solid Edge 2025, Altium Designerwill be an asset

• Experience with documentation and issue tracking tools (Confluence, Jira)

• Basic understanding of automation or measurement systems
