ERP Material Control Coordinator

Day-to-Day ERP BOM Execution

• Execute day-to-day ERP BOM upload, item setup, and demand maintenance for assigned site/programs

• Maintain PBOM currency for assigned programs; consolidated demand, purchasing quantities, supplier/MPN data, PO visibility

• Process routine demand adjustments (quantity changes, additions, removals) and part substitutions as approved changes come through

• Ensure all ERP item setup is accurate and follows established standards; prevent duplicate records and maintain clean master data

Material Requirements & BOM Quality

• Work with the Lead and Manufacturing Engineering to enter and maintain approved raw-material requirements in the site ERP, ensuring material demand aligns with the applicable BOM and manufacturing structure

• Flag BOM/system discrepancies before they become purchasing or production issues

• Coordinate with the Lead to resolve data quality issues, missing information, and system anomalies

Production Support & Problem Resolution

• Handle first-line production BOM correction requests and system questions for assigned site, escalating process/ownership gaps to the Lead

• Respond quickly to Production questions about BOMs, material requirements, and ERP data

• Support the Coordinators own site with minimal escalation; escalate only truly exceptional cases to the Lead

Process Alignment & Continuous Improvement

• Follow the documented BOM lifecycle process; contribute updates to it as gaps are found and process improvements are identified

• Ensure Buffalo operations consistently adhere to standards set by the ERP Material Control Lead

• Communicate process feedback to the Lead regarding ERP system capabilities, workflow efficiency, and Buffalo-specific needs

Continuity & Knowledge Transfer

• Own Buffalo continuity so the site no longer depends on a single person

• Act as the second trained resource on the teams shared BOM lifecycle process

• Support training and onboarding of future team members or temporary support resources as needed

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data entry, ERP systems administration, material coordination, or inventory management in a manufacturing environment

• Proficiency with ERP systems (any platform) including BOM modules, material master data, and demand planning

• Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to work with complex data structures and maintain high accuracy standards

• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, part numbers, BOMs, and work instructions

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly workflows

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic database/system operations

• Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain)

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and high transaction volume under production pressure

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to data quality and process compliance

• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn complex systems and follow documented procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or similar mid-market ERP platforms

• Background in fabrication, assembly, or contract manufacturing

• Experience with change management processes (ECN/ECR) and version control

• Familiarity with MRP/production planning concepts and demand forecasting

• Experience working in a multi-site manufacturing environment

• Certification or formal training in supply chain, materials management, or ERP systems
