Do you want to gain practical teaching experience in a Christian community of learning that nurtures young people towards their full potential as servant leaders in the Kingdom of God?

Our KingsWay School Teacher Training Programme for Primary School teachers offers Laidlaw students in their third year who are enrolled in a Bachelor of Education the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by spending 1 day per week onsite at KingsWay School as part of their learning journey. Enquiries from other providers are welcomed.

This immersive experience includes remuneration and is designed to support aspiring educators in developing their skills within a vibrant, faith-based school environment.

Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a growing roll of over 2000 students. Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tumanako.

An important condition of your placement in this programme is a willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the Special Christian Character of KingsWay School. You will enjoy contributing and promoting a biblically informed, Christ-centred worldview, including how this translates to supporting and growing our students’ faith, and will protect and enhance our Christian character.
