What do we want?
We seek a hands-on, dependable Facilities Supervisor to lead a team of five technicians and oversee the upkeep, safety, cleanliness, and overall condition of assigned car wash locations across the region. This role requires regular travel between sites and supports daily operations by ensuring equipment, building systems, ground, and customer-facing areas are maintained to company standards.
This position is ideal for someone with strong maintenance and car wash equipment repair and knowledge, proven leadership skills, vendor coordination experience, and the ability to identify and resolve facility issues quickly and safely.
Location: Home based in Connecticut or willing to relocate; travel required across assigned locations
Responsibilities
Supervise, schedule, and develop a team of five facilities and equipment repair technicians across assigned locations, including assigning daily work, conducting performance check-ins, and supporting hiring and onboarding.
Travel regularly to assigned car wash locations to inspect, maintain, and support facility operations.
Oversee the general condition, cleanliness, safety, and appearance of assigned facilities.
Perform and support preventive maintenance on car wash equipment, building systems, and facility structures.
Plan and prioritize preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend the life of car wash equipment and building systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general repair issues.
Support and perform repairs on conveyor systems, pumps, motors, vacuums, compressors, chemical systems, doors, lighting, and other site equipment.
Conduct routine site walks to identify repair needs, safety concerns, equipment issues, and cleanliness opportunities.
Coordinate repairs with internal teams, vendors, contractors, and operations leaders.
Follow up on open work orders and ensure completed work meets company standards.
Monitor maintenance supplies, tools, parts, and vendor performance.
Manage the regional maintenance and repair budget, including tracking spend, approving purchases within authorized limits, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Train and coach team members on facility care, cleanliness standards, safety expectations, and equipment use.
Ensure company safety policies and applicable OSHA, environmental, and chemical-handling regulations are followed at all assigned sites.
Transport tools, parts, supplies, and equipment between locations as needed.
Respond to urgent facility or equipment needs, including on-call support when required.
Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, work orders, vendor visits, and completed tasks.
Track and report key maintenance metrics — such as work order completion, equipment uptime, and preventive maintenance compliance — to facilities leadership on a regular basis.

General Requirements
Authorized to work in the U.S.
High school diploma or GED required; trade school, technical certification, or related experience preferred
Previous facilities, building, property, or car wash equipment maintenance experience (3+ years preferred)
Prior supervisory, team lead, or vendor coordination experience preferred
Experience directly leading, scheduling, and developing a team of maintenance or repair technicians preferred
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, building upkeep, and general repairs
Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems preferred
Working knowledge of OSHA, workplace safety, and chemical-handling requirements applicable to car wash operations
Experience managing repair and maintenance spend or working within a facilities budget preferred
Intermediate computer skills, including email, work order systems, and basic reporting
Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
Home based in Connecticut, or willing to relocate
Willing and able to travel regularly to assigned locations
Willing to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to meet company driving requirements
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, crouch, and reach for extended periods
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. regularly and heavier items with assistance
Ability to drive for extended periods when traveling between locations
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Comfortable working around moving equipment, water, cleaning chemicals, and loud operating environments
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, cleaning equipment, ladders, and maintenance equipment
Ability to load, unload, and transport tools, parts, equipment, and supplies as needed
