Lyten is seeking a Facility & Utility Technician with experience in fire protection systems. In this role you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and improvement of facility, utility and fire protection systems supporting production and office environments. Ensures buildings, utilities and life safety systems aremaintainedin compliance with Swedish regulations, companystandardsand sustainabilityobjectives.
Key Responsibilities
Overall areas of responsibilities and activities
Maintain and improve facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, compressed air, utilities, and building infrastructure.
Maintain,inspectand test fire protection systems including fire alarms, smoke detection, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, and fire water infrastructure.
Support the site'sSystematisktBrandskyddsarbete(SBA) through inspections,documentationand corrective actions.
Manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure reliable operation of facility and safety systems.
Coordinate contractors, serviceprovidersand regulatory inspections.
Support facility projects, equipmentinstallationsand continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain technical documentation, maintenancerecordsand regulatory compliance documentation.
Respond to facility,utilityand fire system incidents andparticipatein emergency preparedness activities.
Collaborate with Production, EHS and Engineering tomaintaina safe and efficient workplace
Requirements
Educational background andpreviousexperiencerequiredfor the role
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 3 years' experiencemaintainingindustrial fire protection and life safety systems.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in facility or maintenance.
Experience working with fire alarm systems, sprinklersystemsand emergency lighting systems.
ExperiencesupportingSystematiskt Brandskyddsarbete (SBA).
Experience coordinating fire protection inspections,testingand maintenance activities.
Understanding of active and passive fire protection principles in industrial facilities.
Ability to manage external fire protection contractors and service providers.
Technical education in maintenance, utilities, or facility systems (or equivalent work experience).
Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
Familiarity with local building and safety codes.
Experiencemaintainingcompressors andprocess air distribution systems.
Experience in clean & dry room environment.
Experience in managing contractors and external vendors.
Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
Experience withmaintenance offacility fire protection systemsand regulationsfor thesesystems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Specific skills
Strong understanding of fire protection and life safety systems.
Knowledge of SBA, fire preventionpracticesand emergency responseplanning.
Troubleshooting skills for facility,utilityand fire protection systems.
Understanding ofelectrical distribution, industrialventilationand building systems.
Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
