Position: Field Officer

Location: Designated District (Twifo Praso)

Reporting to: Regional Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Sustainability Management Services (SMS) is a member of the ECOM Agro-industrial Corp. Ltd

(ECOM), a leading origin-integrated global commodity merchant and suatainable supply chain

management company. ECOM works through several companies around the world to advance

rural prosperity by providing farmers with the product and services they need to optimize crop

productivity and revenues, and reduce household costs. We leverage our knowledge of farmers

and rural communities to identify opportunities to advance rural prosperity. Our vision is to

build better Agri eco-systems using our knowledge, innovation, efficiency and digitization and

become the rural producers and entrepreneurs’ preferred choice.

SMS is seeking self-motivated Field Officers who are fluent in both English and local languages

for some districts in the Cocoa Regions. The Field Officers will support the Field Trainer to

implement the SMS Programme activities in the designated areas.

The Field Officers (FO) will:

 Be responsible for the development of districts annual work plans.

 Directly supervise all farmer specialized programs (VSLA, Additional Livelihood etc.) in

the districts.

 Be responsible for Certification of

 annual Audit in the district.

 Coordinate all training activities for producers.

 Manage a team of Field Trainers (FT) in the district.

 Responsible for assisting and assessing FTs in the district.

 Undertake any other activities that will be assigned in line with the FO scope of work.

Partnership Responsibilities

 Supporting Farm Supervisors on their core responsibilities.

 Work closely with or collaborate with district Ministry of Food and Agriculture

(MoFA)technical officers and Research Institutions within the region/district.

 Maintain good relationship with district Franchise Holders and other key stake holders.

Administrative Responsibilities

 Prepare weekly reports.

 Responsible for the care and security of assigned company assets.

EDUCATION

 Degree/ Diploma in one of the following fields Agriculture, Business, Economics,

Development.

 Certificate in Agriculture.
