Trim Landscaping is a full-service landscaping company that provides commercial and large-scale high-end residential landscaping services in Nova Scotia. Position Overview

As a Mechanic with Trim Landscaping, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles and equipment used throughout our operations. This role offers a diverse workload with opportunities to work on everything from small engines to heavy equipment. Flexibility for varied hours during winter snow operations and storm events (overnights and on call).

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and equipment (trucks, skid steers, loaders, excavators, commercial mowers etc.)
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues
  • Complete equipment inspections and safety checks
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Coordinate parts ordering and inventory management as required
  • Support equipment readiness during peak landscaping and snow operations
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and urgent repair needs when necessary

Qualifications

  • Experience working as a mechanic, heavy equipment technician, agricultural mechanic, or similar role
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
  • Valid driver's license required
