About the role

This is a permanent part time role, 34 hours per week. | Monday & Friday 8.30am–3.30pm | Tuesday to Thursday 8.30am–4.00pm, Wednesday 8.30am-4.00pm + (34 hours per week)

You’ll support the daily operation of our foodbank warehouse and self‑serve supermarket, helping create an efficient, respectful and welcoming experience for clients. A key part of this role is supporting our volunteers and working closely with the warehouse, self‑service and foodbank assessor teams.

  • Support volunteers as they carry out daily tasks in the warehouse and self‑serve areas
  • Keep the warehouse operating smoothly
  • Receive, move, and restock food and related supplies
  • Assist in the self‑serve supermarket to maintain a welcoming client environment
  • Support the foodbank assessor team as needed
  • Work closely with the wider team to support daily operations

We’re looking for someone with a practical mindset, a strong work ethic, and a genuine commitment to helping others.

  • Experience in supermarket, retail or a similar environment (preferred)
  • A full driver’s licence; forklift licence is an advantage
  • Physical fitness, including lifting boxes up to 20kg
  • Comfort standing for periods and working in a hands-on role
  • Strong reliability, organisation and teamwork skills
  • A non-judgemental approach and confidence working with diverse people
  • A genuine commitment to the Mission’s purpose and community impact
