As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Base44, you will operate at the intersection of hands-on engineering, product discovery, and stakeholder execution. We are looking for a mature, highly autonomous builder who can own projects end to end - from initial discovery and workflow mapping to building, deploying, and refining apps.

In this role, you will partner directly with both internal teams  and external stakeholders. You’ll uncover their operational bottlenecks, translate ambiguous needs into clear solution designs, and use Base44 - paired with hands-on coding to build fully functional apps. Your work won’t just solve real world problems, it will test Base44 at its limits and directly influence our core product roadmap.

What you’ll do

• Drive & Own Projects End-to-End: Independently lead initiatives from zero to one—running discovery, mapping workflows, and shipping production-ready solutions without hand-holding.
• Build Internal & External Apps: Design and build fully functional applications on Base44 for internal teams and external partners.
• Leverage AI & Vibe Coding: Utilize Generative AI and Vibe Coding practices to rapidly build intelligent workflows, automate logic, and accelerate app delivery.
• Hands-On Development & Integrations: Combine Base44 capabilities with custom code, APIs, and integrations to build scalable, tailored solutions.
• Bridge Stakeholders & Alignment: Act as the primary technical partner for internal units and external stakeholders, driving momentum and aligning business needs with execution.
• Stress-Test & Inform Product: Push Base44 to its technical boundaries through ambitious builds, feeding field insights directly back to Product and Engineering to shape our platform roadmap.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Technical Product Management, Solutions Engineering, or other highly technical customer-facing roles.
• Proven track record of working directly with clients, external partners, or internal business stakeholders to understand operational needs and deliver solutions.
• Hands-on coding experience with a strong ability to write clean, functional code.
• Solid understanding of modern web application architecture, APIs, integrations, and relational data structures.
• Strong product sense and process design skills with the ability to turn ambiguous business needs into functional app designs.
• Proven experience building software using modern AI-driven tools, Vibe Coding practices, or low-code/no-code ecosystems.
• High autonomy, maturity, and a proactive mindset to lead projects end-to-end from scratch without hand-holding.
