Freight forwarder and logistics

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Freight Forwarder and Logistics professional to join our team in Beirut, Lebanon. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the movement of goods across international borders, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation while adhering to all relevant regulations and customs requirements.

• Coordinate and oversee the entire shipping process, from pickup to delivery
• Arrange and negotiate transportation services with carriers, including air, sea, and land freight
• Prepare and review shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations
• Manage customs clearance processes and resolve any issues that may arise
• Optimize shipping routes and methods to minimize costs and transit times
• Track shipments and provide regular updates to clients
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and shipments
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and customs officials
• Stay up-to-date with changes in international shipping regulations and industry best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve any logistical issues that may occur during transit

Qualifications

 

• 3-5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics
• Strong understanding of customs regulations and documentation requirements
• Experience with transportation management systems and inventory management software
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication abilities, both written and 
• Familiarity with Incoterms and international trade regulations
• Knowledge of multimodal transportation methods and their applications
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple 
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic.French is a plus
