Frontend Digital Developer

About the role

• We are seeking a detail-oriented freelance HTML/CSS and digital production developer to support our technology team at a fast-paced, independent pharmaceutical marketing agency. This is a part-time freelanceroleaveraging approximately 20 hours per week. The developer will support the Director of Technology with HTML email development, digital banner development, website updates, light-to-moderate front-end development, troubleshooting, and content management across a variety of CMS platforms. The ideal candidate has prior agency and pharmaceutical experience, works independently, and can flex their schedule when needed to support tight deadlines, including occasional work outside normal business hours.

Freelance commitment: Approximately 20 hours per week; hours may vary based on project workload and deadlines.

What you'll do

• Edit and update website content using fundamental HTML and CSS coding principles across static HTML sites and other CMS environments.

• Make content and style updates in unfamiliar or custom CMS environments as needed.

• Troubleshoot and resolve routine front-end and digital production issues for internal teams.

• Build, edit, test, and troubleshoot responsive HTML emails across common email clients and devices.

• Build and update digital banner ads, including standard and responsive HTML5 banner executions.

• Use AI-based coding tools and automation whereappropriate tosupport efficient execution.

• Support the setup and maintenance of custom convention kiosks and other digital deliverables as needed.

• Manage and track assigned tasks using Smartsheet or similar project-tracking tools.

• Use GitHub for basic version control and collaboration.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, including fundamental semantic HTML/CSS coding principles.

• Hands-on experience developing, editing, and troubleshooting responsive HTML emails.

• Hands-on experience developing digital banner ads, including HTML5 banner production.

• Experience working in an agency environment, with pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing experiencerequired.

• Familiarity with responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, and email client compatibility.

• Experience working with content management systems.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately execute against suppliedcreative, specifications, and requirements.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Schedule flexibility to support tight deadlines, including occasional evening or after-hours work when project needsrequireit.

Preferred Experience

• 2-5 years of professional experience in web development, HTML email development, digital production, ora relatedagency role.

• Experience with GitHub, Smartsheet, and AI-based coding tools is preferred.

• Experience developing or supporting custom kiosks, touchscreen displays, or other interactive convention/event experiences is preferred.

• WordPress experience is a nice to have.
