Location: Sacramento, CA

Pay: $26.23 per hour

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, with variable shifts typically scheduled to start as early as 10am and end as late as 8pm with daily shifts normaly 8 hours.

Work of Art Studios at College Greens is looking for a creative, positive, and upbeat Gallery and Workshop Coordinator to help bring our gallery, studios, workshops, and community events to life.

If you love art, people, and creating welcoming experiences, this is the position for you! You’ll work alongside artists, instructors, and community members while creating an engaging gallery and studio experience.

What You'll Do:

• Coordinate daily gallery and studio operations and keep spaces welcoming, organized, and ready for visitors.
• Coordinate workshops, classes, exhibitions, receptions, open studios, and community events.
• Manage event registrations, memberships, attendance, supplies, and event logistics.
• Support gallery sales, artwork inventory, pricing, displays, merchandising, and artist payouts.
• Create and restock fun art kits and provide basic instruction to customers.
• Provide exceptional customer service and help customers discover artwork, programs, and membership opportunities.
• Support artists in developing workplace, customer service, gallery, and professional art skills.
• Assist with social media, marketing materials, event promotion, and community outreach.
• Build relationships with community partners and help identify opportunities for exhibitions, art fairs, and public events.
• Support seasonal gallery and window displays.
• Participate in Gallery Committee activities, staff meetings, training, and professional development.
• Help create an inclusive environment where artists of all abilities can thrive.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Arts Administration, Fine Arts, Business, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in gallery operations, event coordination, retail, arts administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience coordinating workshops, classes, events, or community programs preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with social media, Adobe, and Canva.
• Ability to learn POS, inventory, and gallery management systems.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance and registration.
• Ability to lift, transport, and set up artwork, displays, supplies, and event materials.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to comply with a strict drug-free workplace policy.
