Generator Service Technicians (4)

Looking for an experienced Generator Service Technician responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of generator sets and related systems. The successful candidate will provide technical support to customers and ensure generators operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, inspect, service, and maintain generator sets at customer sites.

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-system faults.

• Carry out repairs, component replacement, testing, and adjustments as required.

• Inspect engines, alternators, batteries, cooling, fuel, lubrication, exhaust, and electrical systems.

• Conduct generator testing and performance checks, including load testing where required.

• Respond to customer service requests and provide timely technical support.

• Prepare service reports detailing faults identified, work performed, parts used, and recommendations.

• Identify required spare parts and coordinate with the relevant team for availability and replacement.

• Provide customers with basic guidance on generator operation and maintenance.

• Maintain proper use and care of tools, equipment, and company assets.

• Follow all company, customer-site, health, safety, and environmental requirements.

• Coordinate with the Sales and Service teams to address customer requirements and identify additional service opportunities.

• Be willing to travel to customer sites and respond to urgent technical assignments when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in generator servicing, power-generation equipment, industrial machinery, or related technical services.

• Practical experience in generator installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

• Good understanding of diesel engines, alternators, electrical systems, control panels, and generator protection systems.

• Experience with established generator brands is an added advantage.
