Groom/ Bell Boy

As a Groom you will welcome guests and carry luggage while escorting them to their rooms. You will explain features of rooms and accommodation facilities.

What you’ll do

• Welcome guests at the main entrance, and greet them appropriately as per the time

• Escort guests to their rooms and explain hotel facilities

• Assist the guests to deliver all baggage, messages, and packages to guests and do several other tasks according to the guest’s request

• Receive and store the guest luggage and keep a proper record of level tags

• Store the guest’s luggage in the luggage room and respond to their request

• Tie the luggage tags to the guest’s luggage

• Guide the guests to arrive at the Reception Desk and to wait beside them

• If guest want to change the room be prepared for, transferring baggage from one room to another

• Clean and maintain the baggage room and work area assist in maintaining

• Report to the Reception Desk about any malfunctioning equipment

• Maintain and upkeep the appearance of the hotel lobby and entrance

• Perform other duties as per assign

Requirements

• Previous work experience as a Porter or Bell Boy, ideally in a 5* hotel environment

• Excellent command of the English language

• Knowledge of any additional language will be considered as an asset

• Professional attitude and appearance

• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise

• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

• Teamwork spirit and customer service attitude
