Your mission
We are seeking a visionary Head of Data to join our team in Amsterdam. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor the team consisting of Data Science, Business Intelligence, and Data Engineering roles.
Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals.
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data infrastructure, including OLAP systems and columnar databases like Redshift.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all platforms.
Develop and maintain actionable KPIs for various marketing operations and billing systems.
Utilize advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to drive insights and optimize marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and provide actionable insights.
Develop a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the data team.
You hire new talents and build a team that focuses on delivering value.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data science, BI, and data engineering.
About You:
Proven experience in a leadership role within data science, business intelligence, or data engineering.
Expertise in internet marketing and performance marketing strategies.
In-depth knowledge of OLAP, statistics, and machine learning.
Proficient in SQL and experience with columnar databases such as Redshift.
Practical knowledge and experience with Python, including its application in data analysis, machine learning, and data engineering and tools like Pandas, NumPy and SciPy.
Experience with data visualization in JavaScript and HTML, including frameworks such as D3.js, Plotly.js.
Proficiency in creating interactive visualizations and dashboards using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics).
