Priory Hospital East Midlands has an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team.

Priory Hospital East Midlands, located between Nottingham and Mansfield, is a specialist acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) service for adult females. It is accessible by public transport, with a local train station nearby and a bus stop just outside the hospital providing links to Annesley, Hucknall and Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

Previous experience working in a mental health setting is advantageous, with a minimum of 6 months' experience preferred. You will need well-developed observational and listening skills, as the role involves regular interaction with staff, patients and visitors, both in person and over the telephone. The ability to monitor and respond to patients' mental, emotional and physical wellbeing is essential. Full training will be provided.
