High-Voltage & Electric Driveline Technical Lead

We are looking for a High-Voltage & Electric Driveline Technical Lead to join our SW & Electronics group and lead the development of the high-voltage electric systems for our powertrains. The scope includes the inverter, electric machine, high-voltage wiring harnesses, electrical distribution, and their integration into the driveline.

About the Role

As High-Voltage & Electric Driveline Technical Lead, you will own the technical definition and development of the driveline’s electric systems. You will lead the integration of the inverter, electric machine, high-voltage wiring, electrical distribution, controls, and thermal and mechanical interfaces. You will also define interfaces towards the battery and vehicle systems, while ownership of those systems remains outside the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture and requirements for the inverter, electrical distribution, controls, and their interfaces within the hybrid drivelines and electrical drivelines.

• Lead integration and optimization across hardware, controls, thermal, and mechanical domains, EMC, balancing performance, efficiency, cost, weight, packaging, and robustness.

• Ensure safety, validation, and production readiness through EMC, insulation, HV interlock, fault protection, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, testing, supplier collaboration, and design release.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

• Proven experience developing high-voltage electric transmissions or electric driveline systems, preferably for hybrid powertrains.

• Deep knowledge of inverters, electric machines, HV wiring, electrical distribution, and related hardware and control interfaces.

• Knowledge of efficiency, thermal management, EMC, diagnostics, fault handling, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and high-voltage safety.

• Ability to lead cross-functional development from concept through integration, verification, industrialization, and production launch; experience with Volvo Cars, AB Volvo, or Geely Group companies is meritorious.
