3. Team Leadership:
• Supervise and train host/hostess staff.
• Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
• Set performance standards and provide ongoing feedback to the team.
4. Floor Management:
• Monitor and manage the flow of the dining room to optimize table turnover.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and servers to ensure timely food delivery.
• Assist with seating arrangements for large parties and special events.
5. Communication:
• Liaise with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient service.
• Relay important information to servers and other front-of-house personnel.
• Act as a point of contact for the restaurant’s management team.
6. Problem-Solving:
• Address unexpected issues, such as customer complaints or staff conflicts.
