Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will perform a variety of administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of Pasado’s Safe Haven’s Human Resources functions. The HR Generalist manages and facilitates processes related to recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and policy administration. This role requires outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, a broad knowledge of human resources, and a talent for employee relationship management.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Recruitment: Coordinate with stakeholders to support recruitment processes including maintaining job descriptions for all positions, working with hiring managers to support prescreens and interviews, and completing reference and pre-employment checks.
• Onboarding: Oversee all onboarding processes, benefits administration, and facilitate staff introductions and facility tours as appropriate.
• Learning and Development: Administer employee development and training opportunities.
• Employee Lifecycle: Administer performance management programs, policy administration, and oversee all offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews and providing feedback to management as appropriate.
• Payroll: Provide backup support for payroll processes and payroll database updates as needed.
• General Administration:
  • Regularly communicate with staff on pertinent human resource matters, answer questions, and facilitate problem resolutions in an appropriate and professional manner.
  • Facilitate the planning and execution of organization-wide meetings and other staff events.
  • Keep up to date with the latest human resource trends and best practices.
• Management: Provide management and mentorship to Accounting and People Operations Specialist
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar human resource role.
• Excellent verbal and written and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information and situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (experience with Office 365 strongly preferred).
• A self-starter able to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Employment:

• Full-time, Non-exempt 4 days, 9 hours per shift (36 hours per week)
• Combination of remote and onsite at our sanctuary in Monroe, WA.
• Starting Salary Range: $60,320-$64,480 annually
