Overview

The Human Resources Specialist will serve as a key resource for employees and managers, supporting benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and HR operations. This role works closely with recruiting, payroll, finance, and leadership to deliver a positive employee experience and ensure efficient HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefits and coordinate with third-party vendors
  • Manage leave of absence programs, accommodations, and related documentation
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation programs
  • Interpret and communicate HR policies and procedures
  • Respond to employee HR inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Manage offboarding processes, including documentation and system updates
  • Support recruiting efforts through interview coordination and candidate communication
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Assist with performance review cycles and HR projects focused on process improvement
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of HR experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment supporting multiple offices
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (ADP experience preferred)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
