As part of our continued expansion in Germany, we are looking for an experienced and results-driven HV Grid Connection Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-voltage grid connection packages for utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System projects. As an HV Grid Connection Project Manager at Solarpro, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of high-voltage overhead lines, underground cable systems, substations, and grid connection interfaces—from engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning, and energization.

You will work closely with German Transmission System Operators, Distribution Network Operators, utility companies, engineering consultants, EPC contractors, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure the successful execution of complex grid infrastructure projects.

The position is project-site-based in Germany and requires frequent travel across the country.



Main responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of High Voltage Grid Connection packages for utility-scale renewable energy projects;
  • Manage the execution of High Voltage Overhead Line (OHL), Underground Cable and Substation works;
  • Coordinate all interfaces between EPC contractors, TSOs, DNOs, utility companies, engineering consultants, Owner’s Engineers, and subcontractors;
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, technical and regulatory requirements throughout project execution;
  • Monitor engineering deliverables related to grid connection infrastructure;
  • Coordinate permitting activities associated with HV infrastructure;
  • Lead technical meetings with utilities, TSOs and Owner's Engineers;
  • Manage project schedule, budget, risks and overall project performance;
  • Support procurement activities related to HV equipment and subcontractors;
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and construction progress;
  • Coordinate protection, control, SCADA and communication interfaces;
  • Support commissioning, testing and energization activities;
  • Ensure successful completion of all utility acceptance procedures;
  • Manage project reporting and provide regular progress updates to senior management;
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies;
  • Promote the highest standards of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance.



Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline;
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in high-voltage infrastructure projects;
  • Proven experience managing high-voltage grid connection projects;
  • Practical experience with High Voltage Overhead Line construction;
  • Experience with underground high-voltage cable systems;
  • Experience with AIS and/or GIS substations;
  • Experience delivering projects at 110 kV or above;
  • Strong understanding of protection and control systems, SCADA, relay coordination, and communication interfaces;
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams;
  • Strong project planning, cost control, risk management, and stakeholder management skills;
  • Experience working with German Transmission System Operators and Distribution Network Operators;
  • Familiarity with TenneT, 50Hertz, Amprion, TransnetBW, Westnetz, or other German grid operators is considered a strong advantage;
  • Good knowledge of applicable VDE, DIN, and DGUV standards;
  • Experience with renewable energy grid connection projects is preferred;
  • Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems is considered an advantage;
  • Experience working under FIDIC contracts is an advantage;
  • PMP or another recognized project management certification is considered an advantage;
  • Experience managing multiple high-voltage projects simultaneously is preferred;
  • Fluent command of English, both written and spoken;
  • German language proficiency at a minimum B2 level is mandatory;
  • Valid driving licence;
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Germany;
  • Strong technical leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills;
  • High level of accountability, ownership, and client orientation;
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with utilities, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
